I don't hate my job. I hate Sunday nights.
I have "update resume" in my to-do list every Monday. It's been there for 9 months.
Got promoted today. Called my mom. She was more excited than I was. I don't know why that made me want to cry.
I got praised in front of everyone today. I smiled and said thank you. Then immediately wondered if they were just being nice. Why can't I just accept a compliment like a normal person?
I got promoted recently and honestly I thought I will be very happy about it. Everyone in office was congratulating me and saying finally you deserve it and all that. But from inside I am not really feeling that happy. My workload almost doubled and now people expect me to know everything. Before if I dont know something I can just say I will check. Now if I say same thing people look at me like I should already know. Also salary increase was there but when I compare the extra responsibility and stress, sometimes I feel was it even worth it. I know I should be grateful because lot of people are waiting for promotion but still I feel I can say this here. I am tired. Maybe I just expected promotion to feel different.
